This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

If you're going to take the approach that the reported numbers do not support your personal belief, you should just ignore this thread and move on. It'll be better for all involved at the end of the day.

If you want to discuss conspiracy theories, we can compare the types of tinfoil we use to make our hats.
So it's OK to assume that someone died from something they weren't tested for just to use as fodder for the fire? But its not OK to assume that potentially millions of people have already had this thing and have recovered already? No one else finds it odd that flu and pneumonia deaths are declining while covid deaths are skyrocketing??? If that's true then clearly social distancing only works for flu and pneumonia. Makes sense i guess...

It's a baseline, with rules. You compare apples to apples to see how well your apple trees are performing. When the tree starts dropping fewer apples, then it probably means things are getting better.

If your contention is that this is not absolutely 100% accurate, well no kidding. It's a best approximation without being all-knowing.

I think everyone would agree that something of this economic magnitude deserves 100% accurate numbers. Not assumptions to try to justify the entire country losing years of savings because people got sick...

That’s essentially saying that since we can’t be accurate money is more important than people’s lives. I’m being pedantic but that’s how your response reads.

I wonder if significant rework means FDA approval with twin systems and fail safe in place, or if it means physical hardware.

it is common to limit liability by eliminating/limiting functionality.

it isn't designed to do that so one failure in the medical world is too many.
i'm not sure why devices can't come under the same rule as going off label like drugs when needed.

Right now the CDC is recommending

this is your words -

They allow drs to assume covid if justified, referencing the cdc recommendations.
Much different.

They take this very seriously, my mom had cancer, but she died of a bleed-out cause by chemo.
(18 years ago now) - no place on her D-cert did it say she had stage 4 lung cancer. Drs take this very seriously.

I've had to sit with a dr from the CDC when i had salmonella. He was not satisfied until i told him everywhere
i had been, what i ate, and who i had been with, and if anyone i was with experienced the same symptoms.
he wasn't there just to do a job.

i welcome your opinion that we are over-reacting. And to question everything. If we don't, then we can't
justify our own opinions. Please don't be cavalier when making a serious point or accusation,
cause then I can't tell if you are just being contra, or really mean it.

If 100% accuracy is your standard, nothing in the world would ever be accomplished, tracked, built, add in anything you want. the pursuit of perfection is a lofty goal, just understand, it will never be realized.
