So THE bridge is in and it is 100% operational.

4 hours of digging this am with the help of some eager passerby's made this much easier.

You can still ride the water crossing any time you like. Especially in January.

Apparently my letter to the state made its way to the right people. I should have pics soon, maybe someone will beat me to it.

The bridge was originally from Spruce Run. They brought it to Six Mile Run on a flat bed 18 wheeler. The park staff was able to declare the bridge as a temporary structure because of the method of its installation.

I had the chance to ride it today and wondered where it came from. It's obviously not new a welcome sight just the same. Now I don't have to worry about getting my feet wet anymore. Nice job.

Just make sure the option still exists for those of us who on a hot summer day still want to get our toeies wet !! The burm going up to the bridge seemed sort of high and encouraging people to go that way instead of hitting the water crossing....
