Thanks to wifey emptying the doggo pool Saturday evening can confirm got over 3” of rain Sunday evening, lot came down fast.

It's PERFECT out there!

I only had time for red and blue, honestly if I didn't live at the top of the hill wouldn't have believed it rained all that much here. The only sign that anything really happened is this, some washout of the new bridge work on blue:

Unsolicited advice: You need BFRs there (big fuggin’ rocks). Gravel is too light. More tubes, some BRFs, then the trail tread on top.

Conditions were great this afternoon. One or two puddles, that’s it. Took a stab at the new Cromwell loop. It’s a great 2.5 mile addition to the park. Flows nicely, good mix of dirt and rocks. One word of warning though. They appear to be working on some form of wetlands remediation in the gully to the east. Lots of heavy equipment, and two sections of the loop had piles of blowdowns strewn across the trail. In those sections the trail was obliterated. I’d like to think they will restore things to the way they were when done, but if not, I’m happy to help. In the meantime note the sections here. I recommend taking the green Vosseller short cut until the project is done.

Just finished ball field trails. Damp with some standing water, but definitely rideable.

Overall totally rideable. The improvements and re-routes really improved drainage (in addition to improving the ride!)

Tree obstruction on the big climb up from buttermilk falls. Right before the first switchback heading toward the quarry.
