Crank Brother warrenty question

I have a new set of Crank Bros pedals, have maybe 6 rides on them, and I noticed that one of the arm on one of the pedals is slightly bent which is making it difficult to both clip in or out.
My question is does this warrant a replacement from Crank Bros?.
 
From what I heard their customer service is very good. I think it kinda has to be as their pedals break, often.
 
They suck at customer service. Give it a shot but count on riding a bent pedal or buying a new set. CB is crap.
 
Yeah first time I tried a pair the spring failed on the old style eggbeaters. Took a song and dance to get replaced. Then I rode them and hated them as my foot would come out at worst moments. Went to expedos which were absolute junk. Went back to beaters with new cleats and rebuilds and has been sunny ever since. Found out I had the cleats on wrong direction. I guess the newer beaters are even crappier. I will be back to shimanos when these fail one day.
 
iv never had a problem with crank brothers customer service, then again iv only ever had to deal with them once, process was painless, i would expect that you will have no problems, i have been riding eggbeaters for 7 or 8 years now (less a very short hiatus to shimano pedals that came on my bike when i bought it, they didnt last but 6 months), and only broken one pair.

Thanks @Norm but I actually switched back to SPDs except for my SS that I ride for camp (and I'm actually going to platform pedals this summer).

I will say that I've never had a problem with my eggbeaters - I switched because I wanted more of a platform to stand on for starts in CX/MTB.
 
Tell me how that goes. I recently replaced my candy 1's with candy 2's after I cracked most of the plastic surrounding the bearings and bent the clips.
 
I gave up on Crank Brothers a while ago because any pedal strike would open them up and release the cleat. No good. My wife's been using them for years, though, and still loves them. The eggbeater 11s are ridiculously light, and for a while you could get them wildly discounted on their trade-in program. Don't know if that is still out there but I've used it a number of times to get new pedals. I find most folks who diss the pedals didn't do the maintenance nearly as often as was necessary, and on the older pedals, "was necessary" was really, really often. But, if you did the maintenance and kept the guts in good shape, they were awesome. I learned that one the hard way. The new design is much better but still needs attention. The tiny, tiny bearings they use on the outboard side can cause problems on the left pedal if the bearing wears out, that much hasn't changed.

As for their customer service, I've used it several times, and have been really, really happy each time. I bought second-hand Ti spindles from a teammate who REALLY should not have been on Ti spindles, and even fessed up to them when I contacted them after one spindle broke, but they still sent me a new set of Ti spindles with an improved design.

(as a counterpoint, I've got several sets of Shimano SPDs, and have no idea how Shimano's customer service is, cuz I've never needed it.)
