I'm not sure why this thread keeps going on and on. No matter what anyone says, he's not going to change his mind on how he feels.

But, Al, understand that just like how you have your right to not wear a helmet, the person who yelled that at you has the right to yell it at you. You get my drift? How many riders do you see on the road (not counting people out there just picking daisies) without helmets? Not a lot right? Helmetless rides are the minority. So just like if you decided to leave the house in bare feet... someone is going to say "dude, where the F are your shoes?" And just like that, you should expect it.

I have people that yell at me all the time when I ride... and I'm wearing proper gear. Expect it, and move on. This thread is completely annoying

You are free to do what you want. I would recommend you wear a helmet when going on a ride. I do not wear one when I commute to work (only 3 min one way), but I wear one whenever I go out for a real ride.

The dark spots on my Visor are blood from an accident I had some time ago. I needed lots of stiches and had a concussion. If it was not for a helmet I could be a little uglier and a lot dumber.
