The API eliminated access to segments/leaderboard data years ago.
I've seen that mentioned in some articles.
remember when Strava was starting to integrate all the bluetooth devices, and suddenly stopped?
They stated that some were crashing the app. It was actually an agreement with wahoo and Garmin not to invade their space,
in exchange, they would send them data if the user "requested"
From a business standpoint, it is a very interesting move.
They are either protecting their co from legal issues of data sharing - you can still do it, but we have strict rules against it.
Or is it an income side play?
Strava has been adding so many activities, who knows what they are thinking.???
