MTBNJ Storms the Kingdom!

The nice thing about KT is that you can roll out with a big group and hang together. We tried to loose @gtluke on the Wednesday ride but he kept finding us. Wednesday was a late start because it rained in that morning. We headed out around 11:30 to sunshine and perfect trail conditions. Schilling says you have to do the 3 T's at Kingdom, Troll Stroll, Tap n Die and Tody's Tour.

We all did about 20 miles together that day then a few of us headed over to Moose Alley. Before the 30 minute climb to get there Jimmy ate a meatball sub at the general store while we all ate fresh baked goods. He did not die.

About to RIP moose alley.

After the ride we ate japanese curry that Norm and D made, even Kirt pigged out. I talked loudly and Utah talked incessantly, everyone just relaxed, socialized, drank, made fires. It was better then going out to eat, we all kinda made our own fun.

Hey, spotted you guys on I-87 southbound today, just after Kingston. You passed us. We were in a grey Subaru, 3 kayaks and 1 bike on the roof. I recognized Jimmy's bike on the back of your truck.
Looks like you guys had a great time. Hope you enjoyed Saratoga and got to sample Upper Canyon and Backstretch (Lucy's Point). I hit it up Thursday, love that place.

Lol, we spotted you at the rest area (but didn't know it was you). We were like "look at all these outdoorsy people here".

The whole trip was very fun.

Saratoga was great except it was very slick on the roots and mossy rocks - guess we had just gone after a night's rain. Plus we only had like 1+ hours there. We got to check out that unmarked trail in the beginning with all those rollers. We both said it would be worthwhile to make a trip up there just for those trails although you could easily make it a multi-day camping trip by hitting other trails on the way.

Really enjoyed being up there in beautiful Vermont with team .. My new iphone s out of commission but will try to post some pics soon. We should make this a yearly event. 🙂
