Peezy's Black Magic 2013

Man this is a great blog!!! Keep up the good work!

And feel better too😀

Damn!!! Hows the bike? 😉 & whats up with no pics? Glad a purple cast wasn't necessary.
+1

How fast were you guys going when you went down? Sorry to hear about the fall but glad your alright. Your write-up makes it sound like you were a bit fuzzy, was it just the suddeness of the fall or did you get your bell rung?

Worst fall I have ever taken was something similar- a low speed, sudden slam into the pavement

damn dude. road rash sucks balls! i'm sure this doesn't need to be said but make sure you keep your eye on it for infection. years ago my roommate took a nasty spill on easton ave avoiding a car. removed a large area of skin on his leg and arm - he had to head to the ER tho. if it looks like its not healing, or just seems weird - get it looked at quick.

those rushes are crazy right? the urge to puke is always weird, especially when hurt.

Sucks you hit the pavement James.... Road rash sucks so bad, especially when it starts to itch when its healing. Feel better bro.

Sorry to hear about your injury! Heal up!

I can actually empathize -- I went down on the descent into Milford, NJ on Bridgeton Hill Road at between 30 and 40 mph on Saturday. Broke my frame and my elbow and right side are in technicolor right now (but luckily that was all -- no broken bones!)

Here's a pic of my elbow with it's lovely shade of green and purple:

was good to see you guys out there!! I was wondering where your ride ended up - didn't see it on Strava that night...and now know why.

Heal up! Eat ice cream and relax this weekend.

I know exactly the intersection/move you are taking about. I do the same thing riding to Kevin's place.

Heal up and post pics.

Fuzzy because of the adrenaline and how fast everything happened, My helmet doesn't have a scratch on it, so I know I didn't hit my head, thankfully. Garmin says we were at least doing 18 MPH.

I took photos last night when I was cleaning up; Sadly I think you will be looking for more carnage than this though. I won't post them for the sake of people NOT wanting to see flesh: Flesh Photos Here

The bike is okay. I wanted to swap the components from my CX bike onto it, so this is a good time as ever. I'm sure the boys will take a look over it too.

The shifter and bar tape took a hit, but the shifters are going on my backup CX bike, so they will fit right in 😉 Check out the fitment of the Yellow Gator truck in the back.

Not sure how much of this is from Fred crashing or me, but I know most of it is new..

This was a great ride until the crash. The slow motion feeling that you get while crashing is exactly what i had watching pearl go down.I was two bike lengths ahead and look back to see that,i felt like i wanted to catch him before he hit the ground.I wasnt worried one bit about my car but you said a few times "dont worry im not getting blood anywhere".lol.Heal up bro so we can ride again.

I have a weak stomach, but I had to look at the photos...I'm actually glad you just put a link and not the photos here...those might scare someone!!!

Hey robin surprised to see me on the road? You were like Al?!!?lol

Does Lou get a purple cast award? Again?

Hand looks rough, dude. Load with neosporin & keep it packed up.

This sucks. I feel like shit.

Just to clarify, I said aloud and pointed "left right?" and someone said yeah. I have nothing else other than that. Though I was recently concussed so it is totally possible I imagined the whole thing.

Feel better bro.

Yeah, when making turns it should always be called out...LOUD. Movements should be subtle, no dive bombing corners. The HG A ride is the same loop every tues., yet turns are still called out by multiple people in the pack, louldly.

but anyway stuff like this happens on occasion. You needed a rest week, so take it easy.

C'mon JP, play it by ear- this is a reference regarding music, basically not needing to refer to printed notes in order to play an instrument. This derived to handling a situation on the fly.

Damn dude, the finger and palm look the worst. Meaty paw is the worst injury since we have to hold onto the bars. Feel better and again, I recommend knitting.
