Sourlands Mountain Preserve Conditions

Standing/running water everywhere today. Bridges were instant death. Those demo bikes got trashed. If it werent a demo day, i wouldnt have even ridden. This place needs a few dry days and also a pruning. Thorn bushes reaching out into the trail everywhere on the lower stuff.

I was out around 5 today. Everything was pretty dry except for the occasional mud and the lower trails which still had standing water.

I came across two downed trees too. One on the climb up to red, a little before the fish. The other on one of the bridges between 6 and 7. That last one has actually been there for a little while now but I'm assuming the park wouldn't look to kindly on random people going in with saws.

Yeah, came across the downed tree btwn 6 & 7 on Saturday (don't normally ride that section). Looks like it could be a one-cut and drag situation to remove ...

Don't think it did (didn't by me and I'm 1/2 hour away). Got out yesterday in late afternoon and conditions were SWEET. There's a good sized downed tree near top of 4 that I hadn't seen before ... just want to be aware of it if you're bombing down.

Conditions last night were beautiful ... least amount of water I've seen on the creek crossing on Montezuma's to date ... Anyone local know how much rain SL got last night/early this morning?

Not a regular here but it seemed very dry/rideable. Started at 930 and the rocks/roots were a tad damp, but no mud anywhere. The rocks became tackier as the day went on.

Is tackier a word?
