Peloton is also not smart controlled - so you'll need to turn the knob.

there is a smart knob out there somewhere.
You can lock in the resistance target, so as the instructor changes the target, your resistance automagically changes as well. It will stay in the same target within the given range. So if the initial target (numbers are in % of FTP, iirc) is 25-30 and you lock in at 29, then the target goes to 50-60, your resistance will auto adjust to 58.

also.. phrasing?

Are cadence drills worth the effort? Last night I did the Zwift workout of the week.

105rpm is way out of my comfort zone. But I did hit all the marks

It took me 45 minutes to get everything working today. It has been good for two weeks.
Jumped on, and erg mode wasn't working - i'm just straight up producing more watts the faster the cadence.
restart the kickr - now the opposite. no matter how fast i spin, power didn't climb.
reboot the phone, reboot the apple tv, check the zwift site, reset the kickr again.
spin down in wahoo, doesn't work, try again, it works. spin down in zwift. it goes to 1 kph, and just stops.
restart apple tv, restart bt on the phone, restart kickr. zwift spindown works.
cadence acting funny now. remove battery and replace.
suddenly it is working. WTF? i'm getting a peloton. 😉

I actually can make the claim that I have, a single one. Confused here, your saying they are for cyclist?
no.. sorry, I read your previous comment as questioning that cyclists weren't the target audience for spin classes.
most people at spin classes have zero interest in riding an actual bike.
guess I misread the comment. nothing else to see here... carry on

See language explicitly exempting 'smart knob' from phrasing. 😁

I guess it caterers to the spin crowd, not the cyclist? Other than the knob do they provide virtual shifting?
Maybe Trainer Road and Peleton where meant to be used together since TR has a workout called "Bald Knob"

Just sayin...

everyone has there own opinion on this, but as more of a roadie I would say yes. These may seem silly since they dont always increase your HR as much as an all out sprint or VO2 Max intervals, but its more about working your fast twitch muscles that you can then leverage for things like sprints, punchy climbs or anything else that needs a burst of muscle energy.

I focused a lot on cadence type training a few seasons back when me and a few friends tried the local NJTT series races (in the road bike Category). It will be good to mix this up with lower cadence training too to offset. I still like doing these kinds of intervals for an active recovery day or a day when I need a workout but dont want to blow up my legs for the next day.

I taught spin classes for a while (Narrator: "he wasn't very good"). Maybe 1 in 10 participants was a cyclist. Slightly more in the winter (in the years Before Zwift). Work Out World in Eatontown had a very popular class taught by a guy who apparently raced a bit internationally and the Middletown location had another road racer teaching at the time I did.

EDIT: I distinguished myself in the instructor training by the never-ending dried mud falling off my shoes. 🙂
