Not quite magic snow, but close enough. I can't believe how good it was.

Today was one of those rides that you maybe should have bagged from the start....
Get out of the car and the wind is blasting me in the parking lot, while wind is less of an issue in the woods, I guess the wind direction was perfect to just blast where all the trails are at Nesh, it never stopped. I had charged my AXS battery last night and I am not sure if the battery wasn't seated right or what but it is only registering half of the shifts. I attempt to open the POS AXS app and it won't log me in. Take the battery out and put it back in and seems to fix the issue. With in the first 1/4 mile on the trail find the first tree down, then 4 or 5 more in the first mile, one of them a 20"+ one:

Also in this first mile is where some person with skinny XC tires left deep ruts. This picture isn't deep but it is whoever has this tire, is that a vittoria mezcal?

The down trees are expected here but it doesn't help lift my mood and a ton of branches down doesn't help either. I move some of the bigger ones and blast most of them where some percentage ends up stuck in my fork or rear triangle.

15 min in find a couple more

Another couple down on a trail called vine street and one of them has a massive vine tangle and climbing around is PITA. See two more 5 min later and 2 more 5 min after that. Mood is bottoming out. The last 1/3 of the loop doesnt have trees down but it isn't enough to make my ride better. I circle back and went to grab this stick while riding and it turns out it was stuck in the ground like a spear, which resulted in an awkward fall where one hand is off the bars, pedal gets caught on said spear (which doesn't move) and I somehow fall onto my bar, which stabs me in the ribs. This resulted in a swearing outburst similar to Ralphie in A Christmas Story when he snaps on the bully kid.

At least the sky was nice at the end

This looks like my kind of ride lol

Are you always in FL this time of year or did you move?
Looking for a house, found a nice place, so rest of month here, then back up north to clear out and permanently move back south.
Cape Coral has, they claim, 90 miles of interconnected bike paths. Incredible bike friendly community. I can't wait until I get a ride that comes up in negative elevation!LOL
Incredibly flat, but always windy it seems with no mountains around nothing stops the wind, crazy.
