Let's not call it a comeback.
Instead let's call it a new beginning. So the rain cut my day short as a had a paint job. Short these days is getting home at 3. Swung by the bike shop and picked up a new type 2 x9 rear D as the x7 the bike came with was junk from the get go. Swapped that and threw on a reverb dropper post. More on that in a moment.
I had a small break to ride with dropping my daughter off at tweener BDP and picking up the boy from his DC class trip.
Hit deer park, in lot saw a board member fattie rider eddieZ. Nice dude, likes the Dead I think as he had steal your face stickers all over himself and bike
🙂
Ride, well immediately I was like oh this isn't gonna last. But just kept it chilled on the climbs and just sat back to smell the earth. I felt good considering the time off the bike. Can't say enough about those mammoth tires how well they roll. Totally ardents on steroids but they have to be perfect with psi numbers.
I rolled just about a standard loop but was feeling so good I hit rouge which is one best trails around these parts. Orange out is what it is, tough for a lackey like myself at this moment. Rode blue to red to the birches and back to the lot. Got get out more because as
@pooriggy says you need stress relief in the non toxic ways. I also give love to
@Norm for pushing buttons to get me motivated.
On to the dropper post, I am mostly retro grouch who likes things simple without all kinds of moving parts and all just so you know where I am coming from. But I found myself playing with this and by half way through the ride using it like it's been there all along. I set it up at a tad higher then my normal height for climbing a mode then settled it down for flats. Where this is awesome is on DHs and tech where your saddle becomes a proper tool sitting low on your inner thighs for increased control at speeds ala like downhill bikes. I know the reverbs are notorious for failing but if I keep digging it like i did today well then I will invest in a good one.
Stay tuned because this station is back on the air
🙂
