Vintage bike forum??

I still have four of these, in remarkable condition. This is the worst one.

My well-traveled Mongoose, purchased at Bicycle World in Howell around 1991.
Many trips around the Manasquan reservoir with my kids on the backseat.
Many miles at Allaire and later on with my son at school in DC.
Gave it to my friend a few years ago for his son to get to work during High school.
Now to my great surprise it's still alive and his younger brother is currently in the South of France,
bike trekking after starting in Portugal through Europe ! Who knows where the Bike will end up!
Steel is real !

Really cool.

Rescued this 1995 Gary Fisher HooKooEKoo from the trash. I think it's a 17" frame (fits medium me fine). All I had to do was swap out the tubes and tires and it's pretty much good to go. A NOS set of 2.35" Hans Dampfs actually just fit the frame surprisingly. Grip Shift STX drivetrain shifted fine as-is but gave it a squirt of lube anyway. Fork has some play and doesn't compress and the frame is a bit dinged up but whatevs. Also need to borrow bolt cutters to get the previous owner's cable lock off. Not sure what to do with this thing as I don't really have a use/need for it but it is retro cool. Suggestions?

My first MTB was the GF Aquila. Which is the exact bike as this minus the suspension fork. I have it setup as a college traveler and my daughter may take it when she goes back to campus in the fall. The brakes and grip shifters are probably shot as the plastic bits are brittle, check them carefully. If you don't want it, donate to either the boys club or second life bikes.
