So I asked TrainerRoad support, they said adaptive training always aims for the Productive workout. Since both of those are considered "Stretches" it knocks it down a peg and suggests I do something easier. F THAT NOISE
That’s a very Dave Taylor way of thinking. Good luck with that!Yes, but this is the polarized one so I feel better about it lol
So with this adaptive thing, what sort of feedback does it ask for after each completed workout? Did you say you were tired and it saw some of your metrics on the decline for TR to suggest you take it back a notch? I'm curious.I should probably ask this on the TrainerRoad forum, but you never know what kind of idiots you are going to run into on that side. I'd rather ask the idiots here.

I noticed that the plan I'm following is trying to adapt to something else. I see that the Threshold 5.6 is to Threshold 4.0, and Sundays Endurance goes from 4 hours, Endurance 7.0 to Endurance 5.3.
Is TrainerRoad telling me I suck and I'm too deep? I don't see why it would make it easier when I have been hitting the numbers and can handle the workload, unless it thinks I'm "okay" in those areas. I don't want to adapt too much in the negative way, since I'm doing that polarized plan. The longer intervals and endurance ride align more with what I'm trying to do, so it makes me feel like I should stick with that instead of the adapted suggestions
Didn’t you say the TrainerRoad plans were too hard and burned you out? lol
Reading this makes me feel better about accepting adaptations after restarting my training plan.
damn thats cold lolThat’s a very Dave Taylor way of thinking. Good luck with that!
Ha I just brought the bike down to the basement and booted up the PC just in case there's some updates - sure enough there are so letting that run while i am on my last conference calls.Holy hell!
I go in the dungeon for a 48 minute zwift workout and it takes me two hours.
Decide to warm-up on the rower. fine, 10 minutes.
Turn on the apple tv, companion app, fire up zwift, everything pairs, click go.
Get a message that zwift needs to be updated. Fine. I soft pedal the trainer while it does it.
Few minutes later, and away we go, but the HR monitor won't pair again - remove battery, replace, connected.
Start the warm-up - erg mode is broken. Reboot the trainer. Reconnect.
Now i'm spinning away and the bike isn't moving. I have cadence, 0 power 0 speed.
hmm - try to spindown in zwift - fail
spin down in the wahoo app - ok.
still not working
check for an update to apple tv - sure enough - more than 10 minutes.
soft pedal
on restart the HRM won't pair again - remove battery, and replace. done.
navigate to workout, it is gone. I'm looking up and down this menu, and it must have been loading workouts,
cause the "plan" i'm doing isn't there. I finally find it. Load it up, and away i go.
so - update your app, update your hardware, and have a go on a wet trail day.

On days I know I am gonna ride indoors I tend to boot everything up first thing when I come down for work in the morning and get Zwift all the way to the "pairing" screen and just let it sit there. It does help that my work space and desk is arms reach to the bike and Zwift PC though.
And here I thought AppleTV was the way to go and i am considering getting it with my free work reward points... hmm.
thanks for the reminder at least to turn on the Zwift setup and let the updates run on a day I don't plan to use it.Yeah these updates lately have been killing me when all I want to do is bang out a quick ride.
I also had some issues with the Erg mode dropping out mid interval last week, really sucked, I think it might have had something do with my Garmin
They are going to show up in the free pile soon.Is $1k for Peleton + bike a good deal?
