Yep, first time for a freeze this bad! Thanks for the pointers on the mirrors. The other thing I watched on YouTube was a Tesla guy in the Netherlands who suggested defrost on full and have the drivers side rear seat folded forward to allow more heat towards the charge port.@JerseyPete oh you new at this? 😆
Don’t auto fold your windows either.
The frameless windows are probably the most inconvenient thing and it’s not waiting at a SC. Direct your vents towards the sides/windows so when you pre condition car it helps the frozen windows if you have that problem.
But other cars have problems too. I can’t even turn the key in one of my other cars because the key core insides is frozen. Not primary car. OTOH I saw gas’ers at Costco definitely waited 15-30min for gas.
I don't expect the 50 degree drop to happen anytime soon, but you never know!
BTW, only used a super charger once just to see how it is done and how fast it works. All other charging done at home with the wall charger.
I think it is around $10 for 200 miles of charge with PSEG off hours.
And the doors on the Honda Ridgeline were also frozen and stuck too.
