You mean stickers won't hold it together?

Yeah. My rack is in awful shape (5 years old). Rust started early and my dad (a welder) sandblasted and repainted it. Replaced a few parts too.

We live in a condo with no space/backyard. And we use it just about every weekend all year long. So taking it off is not an option for us.

It's time for a new rack. I know.

Come on, keep it in your shower. Then Lance can have BIG GUNS (tm) also.

I wonder what they would do if you emailed their customer service.

Dude who owns Knapps has one. Granted, it's also on a huge truck.

saw that truck doing sag over the w/e.....

the 4 bike version is a serious workout (i went kuat). was thinking of getting one of those wall mount receivers and hanging it - nah.

Nothing. I've already tried.
Try putting in a warranty claim through their website. My rack is 5 years old as well. Sent in a few pics and my receipt and 2 days later a whole new rack was on my doorstep. That's customer service!!!

Aluminum will corrode too, esp with salt. Yah, check beneath your handlebars from time to time.

"Some riders sweat profusely and some of them have what I call caustic sweat. It's just gnarly, damaging sweat. I've seen carbon headset spacers fused to steerer tubes. Top tubes on steel bikes that get eaten up resulting in rusted out cable stops. And in this case, aluminum handlebars with tiny holes that are eaten away by sweat. In this case, it's time for a new bar and instructions to remove bar tape, clean, and retape every 6 months or so. Easy to picture the end of a bar folding over because your sweat ate away at the bar. "

already tried, and before anyone posts, this was all with the initial rust that I tried with Thule. NOT after my dad worked on it (i know it's no longer something Thule will respond to).

My experiences with this (specifically their customer service) have me questioning whether to buy Thule again (I posted for feedback on a new rack over a year ago/input).

I just happen to be in the Market for a trailer hitch..Which one should I buy..
Not sure I want a thule after reading this thread..
