Allamuchy North Conditions

Just rode Allamuchy this morning. Went in from Cranberry Lake park n ride. The rail trail and very beginning of Waving Willy were wet, but otherwise everything else is perfect. I'd write a better review of the route...but "went up Unblazed, made a right on unblazed, at the end went left on unblazed....etc" doesn't make much sense. Is there any particular reason we can't get some trail names on these trails?
Someone might name a trail Mukluk then all hell gonna break loose...

Contrary to what the trail report says, go get some! It was absolutely amazing hero dirt this morning, other then some sweaty rocks we pretty much covered the park and found just perfect conditions. The new upper flow trail was open, but I still prefer the candy ass entry IMO.

You must have been one of the first if not the first person to ride that new flow trail. We finished it shortly after noon on Sunday.

It should show up on trailforks shortly. It's starts left off of Cardiac just before the start of Candy Ass.
I thought it started on Candy Ass? Like you ride Candy Ass for a minute or two to the first steep rock line and go left instead of straight?

You might be right. We worked on the new trail and just connected it to Candy Ass/Cardiac on Sunday. I have not actually ridden it yet. I thought it was still Cardiac, but it might be the very beginning of Candy Ass.

I think that was an "unofficial" access. From what I have seen the OFFICIAL trail starts pretty much right where CandyAss starts, but you go left and it's flowy instead of going right onto CandyAss and it not being flowy.

Thanks - that makes sense as the entrance I described really didn't match the rest of the trail.

Conditions are great! I guess some of it got burned in from this past weekends cranks.

There are ribbons and Trail signs for an upcoming adventure race this weekend August 26th.

Also nice work on the new Trail off of candy ass!

So a month ago i bring my ebike through the salt trailhead on 206. Halfway up the trail i get stuck at a downed tree. There is a little mud up the incline. i smell something rank, my bike is covered with furry mud that smells dreadful. it also has some sort of metallic smell to it.

So a month later i roll through with my gravel bike and once again it's the same rank smell through the same spot. I didn't bother to stop i smelled my bike after.

Is there a "brown" color that we can set for allamuchy trail conditions on trailforks? 💩

3. On unblazed, but I think it’s white, nearing the start of earthworm trail. This is in a bad spot at the bottom of steep loose rocky decent.
there is another tree a little furthe up from this one as well.

Thanks again for the awesome intel!! Although I've dropped into Allamuchy North a few times with chainsaw, I'm having a tougher time keeping up with that side. I was last there about 2.5 months ago. Stephens, Dickerson Mine, Deer Park, and sometimes Mahlon Dickerson tend to keep me busier than my free time allows. But when I'm all caught up in those parks, I'll go on more of an Epic mission over there with some swampers (helpers), and I'll review this thread for targets. But yes, please keep the intel coming! (Some of the ones you report are low hanging fruit due to proximity to Sussex branch trail, so don't be surprised if i get to it sooner than later).

Appreciate it, felt a little guilty giving you so much. I consider it this section Alamuchy although it gets lumped in with Alamuchy north on the forum. I it was only like 3.5 miles in Alamuchy, here’s the loop. Start and end point was at the Sussex branch parking lot on continental Road. Always willing to plan it out and give you a hand.

I wasn't planning on the weather being supportive today, so I was able to get out and cut. I cleared all of these targets (and then some), but I didn't get to the one on Jefferson Glen Bike Path. Then I headed over to Stephens to clear the one at the top of Tally Ho, and the one at Estus hood/Pre-rake.
